Submitting a Paper - FAQ

 

  • Do I need to submit an Abstract prior to my paper being accepted for the Symposium?

No, there is no need to submit an Abstract.  We take the view that the standard of the final paper and not the abstract will dictate whether the paper will be accepted for the Symposium.  Therefore, just submit your paper by 15 March 2008 for consideration.

  • Will the papers be refereed?

Yes, all papers will be refereed.  You will hear back from us whether your paper has either been :-

  1. Accepted, with no corrections.
  2. Accepted, subject to some corrections.
  3. Rejected - with reasons for its rejection.

Authors will be advised of the status of their papers by 15 May 2008.

  • Is there a format/layout I should write the paper to?

Yes, we have prepared a Word document template which you can download here.  Just follow the instructions in the document.  The first page of this document template is a form which should be filled up and accompany the paper.  Papers should be submitted as a Word document.

  • Where should I send my paper to?

Papers should be sent to geotechnics2008@auckland.ac.nz.
